The International Symposium “FROM SEED TO PASTA: THE DURUM WHEAT CHAIN. Multidisciplinary approaches for a more sustainable and high-quality durum production”, will bring together all the main stakeholders of the Durum Pasta production chain.
The Symposium will present state-of-the-art results in genomics, marker-assisted selection, genetic resources, breeding, agronomy, tolerance to abiotic and biotic stresses, nutritional and technological quality, pasta production and socio-economy of durum production
and processing.
The host city of Bologna has one of the largest and best preserved historical town
centers in Europe and the oldest University in the western world, founded in 1088,
it is also famous for good food.
Bologna is the Capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, one of the most important agroindustrial regions in Italy.

the world leader in pasta production.
